His home, then? Right, Low was the one taking charge, so he should have suggested his place first. As he led the way he added a sort of sway to his hip, swishing his tail back and forth. As they walked, Low remarked, "So...what first brought me to your attention?"

Saline smiles, "Well I originally did it because I felt remorse, your happy attitude when we first met turned into a depressing course." He follows close, "Then I saw how beautiful you were, and your attitude helped me concur." He is still blushing, "Though if we do get together as you and me, I do not know if I'd still be loved by my family," he takes a breath, smiling to him, "But I'll take the risk and do so, and see where this will go."

Low's confident smile slowly faded at Saline's response. He's taking this seriously, isn't he? He had expected something along the lines of physical attraction, but he never expected such an emotional response. How would Midnight deal with this? Oh yeah, she'd probably just keep lying to his face right up to post-coitus. However, Low was starting to have second thoughts about this. Was he really up to do what Midnight did? Did he have the soul as well as the stomach to ruin this stallion's life? Low shook his head to clear his thoughts, he had come too far to get cold feet. The apartment complex was right before them now, and they started to ascend the steps. He forced his confident grin back on as he drawled, "Well...I think you're a nice, cute stallion with a lot of great potential. I'm amazed some stallion hasn't already picked you up." Deep down a voice urged him to say more. Saline didn't deserve this, the least he could do was tell him how attractive he was.
They are finally outside of his room when Low turns around to look Saline square in the eye, "So this is where I live, you want to see the bedroom?" A large grin crosses his face, pangs of guilt still wracking his brain as he represses them.

Saline is confused with his offering of showing him is bedroom. Was that…customary in Equestrian relationships for this act to happen? He shrugs, maybe it was. "Of course, unless something has you at remorse." Of course, he didn't really know what was going to happen next. If anything, maybe a loving future with him? He couldn't wait, and he'd do anything to let it happen.
What was next he assumed was just another part of a blooming relationship.

Low chuckled at Saline's cluelessness, "Here, come with me." As he led him inside, his horn lit up and the door began to close as the zebra entered. Just before it completely closed and locked, Low said, "You know, I've always wondered if it's true what they say about zebras..."
Low felt...strange. Sure, it was all over and done with, but what now? As he lay with his head against Saline's chest, he listened to his heart and felt his chest heave as he caught his breath. Only one question was running through his mind: What would Midnight do? The answer was probably tell him that he was a terrible lay and then run off leaving him with multiple mental scars. At that thought, he simply froze. His conscience had been passive for the past hour or two, but it wasn't going to stand for this a minute longer. Just what was he thinking?! Did he even realize the full scope of what he had just done?! This wasn't like him at all, and he knew it. This stallion had done nothing wrong to him at all, so what made him think it was perfectly okay to fuck both his mind and his body?! For fuck's sake, he just dug himself his own grave and if he wanted to survive, he'd have to dig his own way out.
He didn't notice that he was crying until he snapped out of his mental sit. He looked up at Saline who had a puzzled look on his face. What would he do when he found out that he was being manipulated and used this whole time? Would you just beat the shit out of Low or would he cry himself to sleep? Low could deal with the former, Celestia knows he deserved one right about now, but the latter was something he simply would not be able to live with. Finally, he begins to speak, the dominant confidence that he had had earlier in the night replaced by a small, shaky warble, "S-Saline...I-I have a confession to make." Would the two of them still be able to call each other friends after this?

Saline laid there, the experience he just had felt like they had been lovers for months and it was their first time together, and he loved it. Holding Low in bed, comforting him after that experience, he did notice be was crying, and just tried to make him comfortable. He just assumed he had known his family would hate him for what he just did with him, and so he kept quiet and just hugged and patted his back whilst he cried softly. Saline realizes how small Low truly was compared to him as they lay together, and it brought a smile to his face. It was adorable in his eyes, and he hoped they'd never leave this bed, just stay comfortable and in each others' embrace.
He looks down to Low, flicking a tear off of his cheek, "Yes, Low, is there something you have to show?"

Low could barely find the words as he tried to explain, "Do you remember what I said earlier? That you were cute and had great potential? I wasn't lying, you will make some stallion very happy some day, but that stallion isn't me.
"I did something terrible tonight, Saline, and I don't want you to blame yourself. Do you remember Midnight, the mare who broke me? I-I hate her s-so much, a-and I w-wanted to get revenge. I-I tried to change, k-kill the submissive inside of m-me and become just like her, a p-player."
Low can no longer bare to look in Saline's eyes, so he wriggles out of his forelegs and rolls over, "I-It was f-fun at f-first, b-but now...now I feel s-so e-empty. I s-saw the p-passion in your eyes a-and your actions, a-and it h-hurts so m-much. H-How could M-Midnight do this a-and s-still sleep at n-night?!" He takes a deep breath to steady himself and says, "I just w-wanted to b-be in control f-for once, to be the o-one on t-top. I-I don't expect you to f-forgive me, I-I know what I am; I-I'm just a two-bit wh-whore who's going to die alone and f-friendless. Th-that's the least I-I deserve now." He finally lets go and collapses into intense sobbing.

Saline is taken…not necessarily taken aback, and almost…uncaring about the fact he was betrayed. He was putting his seething anger and sadness behind him, instead focusing on Low Key. He knew that situation far too well, back in Zebra Lands, he was the lower of the caste compared to his younger sister, and one day struck out at her, wanting to feel dominant. He was disciplined heavily and harshly for that, for weeks. He did not want to go back to that, as he knew his actions were not warranted. He instead hugs Low Key tight, very tight. An almost...joking smile on his face, he says, "You act like I do not know the feeling of rejection, but...I too was once in a place of insurrection." He keeps trying to comfort him, even tearing up a little himself for sympathy, "I never want to go back to that place where I lashed out for control, and I do not want to see you pay for Midnight's toll."
With that, he kisses him on the cheek, "We may not be lovers nor anything like that, but I'd love to still he your friend, even after this spat." He hugs him tight again.

Low tenses up and his eyes go wide. Was Saline...forgiving him? Low's train of thought completely derailed and left him in a state of complete shock. He wasn't prepared for this at all, the least he was expecting was for Saline to walk out, the two of them eventually crying themselves to sleep. This, however, was just...wow.
Low couldn't help but smile, his sobbing eventually softening to small whimper. When he was calm enough, he rolled over to face Saline, their faces not that far apart, "You know I don't deserve your mercy...but thank you. I'm so sorry for dragging you into my drama, Saline." He leans in and plants a soft, tender kiss on Saline's lips. They were different from Zeila's earlier, rougher and, for lack of a better word, more masculine. He didn't really care much for either of those qualities, but the act alone was all that mattered to him. As he pulled back he said, "I know you don't owe me, especially after my actions tonight, but please, make me a promise. Promise me that you'll find yourself a stallion more beautiful than me, promise me that you'll make sure that he loves you as much as you love him..." Low can't help but give Saline a wide smile, "And promise me that you'll bring him home and rub my face in it." He leans in and plants another tender kiss, wrapping his forelegs around his neck, "In the meantime, you can sleep here tonight. Please?" In spite of his best efforts, there was a small amount of desperation in Low's voice as he spoke that last word. It wasn't so much that he was developing anything romantic for Saline, but more that this was what he wanted more than anything. Being a dominant player had its perks, but when it came right down to it, all that Low wanted was somepony to share his bed with him. He wanted somepony to hold him, to kiss him, and tell him that he was wanted, even if it was just one night with somepony whom he had no feelings for.

Saline smiles, "Goodnight, I hope tonight didn't bring you...blight." He shrugs, obviously too tired to rhyme well. With that, he slowly sleeps in Low's hooves. Life was hard, painful, and worst of all...it was good enough for you to want to stick with it. He smiles, tonight was a good night.
The. End.

Researchers in a New York cabbage patch are planning the first release on American soil of insects genetically engineered to die before they can reproduce.
It's a pesticide-free attempt to control invasive diamondback moths, a voracious consumer of cabbage, broccoli and other cruciferous crops that's notorious for its ability to shrug off every new poison in the agricultural arsenal.
'It costs $4-5 billion a year globally to manage this pest,' said Anthony Shelton, a Cornell University researcher who's been studying the species for 40 years.

Brazil are etched into football history as five-time winners of the World Cup, but they have not held the famous trophy aloft since 2002.
The Selecao have only made it past the quarter-finals in one of the last four World Cups and on the occasion that they did so, they were thrashed 7-1 by Germany in the semi-final on home soil in 2014.
But with less than two months to go until the start of this year's tournament in Qatar, Brazil have emerged as the favourites to go all the way and add a sixth star above their badge.
Brazil have emerged as the favourites to lift the trophy at the World Cup in Qatar this winter
Tite's side face Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon in Group G and are expected to comfortably progress to the knockout stages.
Ahead of the Samba Boys' friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia over the next week, Sportsmail takes a look at what the current team has to offer.
A Premier League core
Times have changed since Brazil last won the World Cup in 2002, when 13 of their 23-man squad played their club football in their homeland and none starred in the Premier League.
20 years on, the shift is clear to see.
Only three of the 26-man squad for this month's friendlies play in Brazil, while 12 are on the books of English clubs. That is more representation than any other country.
Four members of the current squad arrived in the Premier League this summer - Manchester United pair Casemiro and Antony, West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta and Nottingham Forest full-back Renan Lodi.
Casemiro and Antony added to the Brazilian representation in the Premier League this summer
The Premier League representation runs all the way through the team.
Ederson and Alisson battle for the no 1 shirt, Thiago Silva is still going strong in defence at 37 years old, Fabinho, Fred and Bruno Guimaraes can form a midfield three and Richarlison and Roberto Firmino offer options upfront.
There are also the English-based players who were not picked this month but could still feature at the World Cup.
Arsenal's three Gabriels - Jesus, Martinelli and Magalhaes - were surprise omissions from the squad, while Liverpool's loan signing Arthur, Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal and Aston Villa's Philippe Coutinho will hope for recalls.
Attacking options galore
Gone are the days of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Rivaldo, but Brazil have no shortage of attacking quality in their squad.
No fewer than nine forwards were picked by Tite for the two friendlies this month.
