It was early, but the marketplace was already brimming with movement. The morning sunlight danced on the just-hydrated fruits and vegetables and the murmur of 'good mornings' and 'how are yous' stretched across the stores and into the ears of Miss Claire Dupont. She had only been in the city for a few hours, but she had been dying to shop. Or at least, to see the wares and the clothes that this city had to offer. She didn't bring too much of a budget.
Claire noticed how colorful this place was. She felt like Dorothy, stepping out from a monochrome world and into a technicolor dream land. Or, maybe that was because of the double braids she had meticulously formed her mane into? In any case, she started her walk down the long strip, casually glancing at the outside of the shops that lined the road. Her stomach surged, growling and rumbling like somepony owed it money.
"Hush." Claire murmured. She wasn't supposed to eat for another three hours, in order to keep up with schedule. As if on cue, the smells of the foods offered in the marketplace hit Claire's nose. Oh, goodness, the smells...Freshly baked bread, cinnamon rolls....Claire's stomach roared again. "Hush!" To get away from the more-than-torturous delicious scents, Claire veered off into a rather-small shop that advertised homemade products.
The shop smelled rustic, almost dusty. It was tiny. Claire could walk from one end to the other in seconds. A few racks covered in miscellaneous clothing items were spread out across the wooden floor. Crotchet sweaters and knitted hats for younger foals, pastel dresses sewn by an expert eye. An aging mare sat behind a wooden table. She gave Claire a big smile as Claire rushed in.
"Good morning, dear." She said in a raspy, quiet voice. "Such a pretty filly like you, you can't be here to look at my little store!" She beamed. It was apparent that she didn't get too many customers.
"Looks like I am, Miss." The compliment had put Claire in a much friendlier mood than before. She hadn't really intended to actually look at anything. Homemade clothing was a big no-no in her industry. But, Claire's eye was caught by a scarf was was hung across a rack in the back of the store. Claire rushed to the rack and lifted the scarf with her baby-blue magic.
"Hey, this isn't too bad..." She thought. One scarf turned to another, and soon Claire was sitting in a pile of knits, examining every item and choosing ones that she liked. Every so often, Claire would pull a too-big sweater over her head, fling her braids out of the head opening and examine herself in the dusty mirror that leaned up against a wall. The old mare chuckled while half-watching the pink model play around in the clothes like she was a filly.
((...I hope I did this right! ;;u;)

As the day started Zeila was already at work getting her self sorted as he daily routine of combing her mane and making sure that it was as straight as possible. This would usually take ten to fifteen minutes depending on her preference or when she needed to leave her home. After twenty minutes of brushing and combing Zeila would slowly lift the dark brown cloak off its place on the wall slowly levitating it onto her body concealing her body then lifting the hood up onto her head. The shade created from the hood making many of her facial features unable to be seen all except her purple eyes which seemed to glow a little bit.
At she let out a heavy sigh as she looked at herself,"No wonder other ponies still see me as some sort of monster living among them.", he words weighted down by sadness and regret, but she knew this was one of the few ways she could go around town feeling comfortably without fear of being chased out. After looking at herself again she would turn towards the door and into the city heading for the Marketplace to get some groceries as well as some new clothes.

Cherry took to the streets of the Marketplace, doing her best to avoid anypony and keep hidden to herself. Picking up the few things she needed as she placed a few apples into her satchel. Taking a dart to the side as a pony passed her, pausing a moment to watch them walk away before turning back towards the less crowded side. Trotting through the crowd quickly as she took past the small shops lined alongside the street. A small dusty shop catching her eye as she could see a few knitted items in the window. Placing a hoove on her hat for a slight moment as she took note of some of the ones inside. It would be nice to have more than just this hat. Taking a moment to just stare through the window before up to the sign.
Making a decision to push herself into the old shop. A old mare with a welcoming smile sat at the table as she gave a beamful look towards her. " Welcome! Welcome! My I must be popular today! " The old mare delighted as Cherry gave her a confused look. Looking around to catch a very flashy pink pony digging into the scarf as if it was the first time she saw it.
A pile around her as she had clothing of all kind surronded by her. Giving her a strange look before back to the mare and nodded a hello. Silently walking past the mess carefully to take a look at the knitted hats. Picking one up as she carefully examined it seeing just how big it was and if it could possibly compete with her blue one.

Claire was indefinitely flustered to be found in this position. Claire, an international model! Delving into 3 bit scarves like she was some kind of...not an international model! Using her magic, she swept the pile off of the floor and onto the rack she had gotten it from. She pulled the winner of the scarves from the pile and tried her hardest to gracefully wrap it around herself. Gliding over to the front table, she dropped a few bits onto it. ("Thank ya kindly, dear!") And looked towards the small blue mare who was now eyeing a pretty knit hat.
"Hey kid, uh...You didn't see that." Claire nodded. "It would be bad for my reputation if you did, so..." She blinked.

Giving her a even more odd look from the corner of her eye, Cherry could only give a tiny snort of laughter. Watchin briefly as the tall fancy pony flustered and quickly moved the pile when she was spotted. Turning back to the hats as she swung it somewhat gracefully around her neck and moving towards the front. Placing a hat down as she picked up another, pulling her own off to try on the new one. Nope, nope not quite right. It just didn't do as well as her old one. Determind to at least try to find one as she shifted her hand through the small pile of hats as her ears perked up when someone spoke up.
Glancing over her shoulder with her own hat in hand as she was asked to not see anything. " ....Er...Sure...But...I dont think I know your Reputation? " Brushing it off slightly before pausing a moment. Wait..Kid? Kid?! She wasn't a child she was full grown adult! Turning back to the pony as she pulled her hat on roughly in a fuss. " H-Hey wait a minute! I-I'm not a child! "

"You don't, now?" A golden opportunity! Claire leapt up onto the table ("Goodness!") And stretched her chin out as far as she could.
"Gracing your presence just so happens to be..." A long pause. Claire used magic to pull the ties out of her braids and shook it out, returning it to it's standard, full size. "International supermodel, starlet, public figure, the most revent Vuitton Miss July herself...Claire Dupont!" She brandished her front leg out in front of her. It was obvious to tell that this routine was very much rehearsed, and has been performed more than once. "All the way from Canterlot!"
The old mare behind the table looked extremely confused.
Claire beamed from atop her newley created stage. She stopped short at the blue mare's next comment. "O-Oh, you aren't?" She turned her 'graceful celebrity' voice on again. "I apologize, for you are quite the small pony." Claire stepped lightly on the table for emphasis. "My mistake."

Cherry had to admit she didn't expect what she saw when she said she didn't know somepony. Never was she given such a grand introduction to somepony, and somepony who was supposidly famous. Not that the idea of meetin a international model scared her, in fact it made her just even more curious what someone like that was doing in a place like this. Just blinking dumbly for a moment with a strange look that matched the old mare behind the table as the sparkling pony brandished her hoove out as if routine.
Taking a moment to let the introduction seep in silence before giving a side look nervously. " Er...Okay...Nice to um...meet a model? " Confusion in her tone as she sat up now fixing her sideways hat. " Names Cherry Flip...and no, no I'm not. " Taking a small huff to being called short as she just tried to push it aside. No reasons to start fights when not needed. " No its um..fine, its a common mistake...isn't the first time. Though by the sounds of it Im probably older than you...uh welcome to town though..I guess. " Picking up a small raspberry colored hat out of the group and deciding on that as she walked carefully around the flashy pony. Placing it on the table to pay her bits before placing it in her satchel with her apples and heading to the door.

"Goodness!" Claire huffed loudly as she watched the small mare proceed towards the door. Claire sat on the table where she once stood.
"Dearie..." The old shopkeeper stuttered. "Could you get down, now?" Her request was completely ignored by the brash, candy-colored pony.
"I wonder if all low-class ponies are that...boring...?" Claire announced to the air. It was unknown who exactly she was talking to. Claire had the strangest habit of talking loudly and assuming that someone was listening. She lifted her head in deep thought. "...Probably so. I guess that comes with the package. Oh well!" She giggled, and leaped down from the table (It was more of a step down, due to Claire's height), swinging her now free mane back behind her. She flung the new, scream-colored scarf around her neck and pulled a pair of dark sunglasses out from her bag with her magic. "Thanks for the scarf, M'am. I'll be sure to promote your shop when I'm back on the job." Claire flung this towards the still-startled old mare, who could do nothing but nod at Claire.

She ignored the loud huff as she opened the door. Hearing the small commotion behind her as she shut it behind her. Flashy ponies like that were the kind that never seemed grateful to the small things, though suprising if a model like her was even in such a knitty old lady shop like that. It wasn't something someone so fashionable seemed to do, and that alone made Cherry Flip curious to just why this pony was in town.
But she chose to shrug it off. Walking out just a bit into the path as she sat down in the square. Pulling out the new hat she bought as she slipped it on in replacement of her old one. She did need to wear at least more colors than she did, and seeing Claire admittedly made her think more about that. Not that she would admit it outloud, and sure it would fade back into her usual styled habits. Opening her satchel a bit only to have herself bonked into. A few ponies who recognized the model coming out of the store hurrying over to meet her as she huffed slightly at the bump. Looking around for the hat she dropped as she couldn't find a trace of it. Where was her hat?!
Looking hastily around the area as she checked under stalls and things alike. Somepony must've kicked it way during the commotion but where?!

Ah yes, the five elements. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Attention.
"Yes, yes, hello." Claire greeted the ponies cheerfully, being sure to nod and smile and all of the other things mother had taught her to do. "Oh, thank you! What was your name again-? Oh, I see! Yes, yes..." The group was multiplying, and Claire did not come to this city to be bombarded. In fact, the reason why she was here was to escape the life. There can only be so much of the fifth element. The ponies around her excitedly all chattered to her at once, talking about how big of an inspiration...something something admiration...Claire was beginning to lose steam fast. Her head was starting to pound, and in her daze, she looked at the ground and noticed a small piece of blue fabric being dragged by the hind leg of an excited filly.
"...Hey." She used magic to detach the blue piece from the pony's hoof and held it up in the air. It was a hat, simple and blue, with a puff of the same color drooping over on it. It looked like a hat that was more used in the winter. The entire accessory had been heavily trampled over, and was covered in dirt.
"Is that yours, Claire?" One of the ponies snorted.
"Hm? Oh, heavens no. You all know I would never wear something like this!" She stuck out her tongue. The crowd giggled louder along with Claire. Claire pulled the hat closer to her and dusted it off as well as she could. The hat sure looked familiar, though. Like she had just seen it...

Zeila kept to many of the alleyways that lined some of the shops avoiding many windows and large crowds of ponies almost like clockwork to her at this point. Only ever coming out to get to the some of the stands that had some items that she really needed. Her head was lowered a bit so her eyes weren't noticed right away but some of the other ponies were looking at her with curious looks as she would go to food stalls buy what she need from them and slink back into the shadows. Her bag was kept in the alleyways to avoid any prying; after a few hours she was coming to the end of her shopping trip the clothing store. She moved from alleyway to alleyway noticing that many of the ponies that were usually in the area had suddenly disappeared. She slowly peaks out from behind a building seeing almost no one else there but heard some clamoring ahead of her. She comes out of the shadows and cautiously moves along the street towards the clothing store.
As she arrives a few feet from the store she would spot a massive crowd of ponies that had gathered out in front of the building,"You have to be kidding me." She softly says to herself seeing so many ponies grouped up some of them saying someones name occasionally waving papers around. "Great now I have to wait until this dies down or come back tonight to get my clothe-" She looked down seeing a small pony examining the ground almost as if she was looking for something.

Cherry was in a panic, having tossed down her new hat in frustration to shove back in her bag. Why did she even think to change her own look! Look at the bad luck it caused her! Ignoring the crowd as they all clamored around the show off as her frustrations grew a bit. Digging underneath a few cluttered mess, though cursing herself why she was even looking there. Probably do to the frantic feeling that she was getting. The hat was very important to her after all, and one she had for years after recieving it from a student during one of her ice classes. It was rare she got gifts these days besides from her father, and each gift she had recieved she treasured greatly. The hat no exception as she galloped a little about.
Not even noticing at first the crowd that laughed and mocked her hat and whoever owned it. Rushing a bit about as she didn't even notice the odd green looking pony in her way managing to bump herself right into her. Blinking a moment to glance up at the much taller pony as she flustered a tiny squeak of a apology. Before hurrying back to looking. " Where is it...." A soft whine came from her as she took to now looking near the crowd. They must've had it, someone must've had it! If only she'd look up and see who really did.

Zeila continues to watch the crowd as the talk and laugh apparently joking at a hat that one of them was holding up. She looked at the hat as it seemed a bit odd but just looked like a ordinary hat. As she started to walk away something bumped into her as she took a glance down she noticed the small pony again but she made a soft squeak noise and whine as she started to head towards the crowd. She would look at the fear and sadness on her face as she seemed to be searching for something. She knew it was none of her concern and she should simply get her stuff and take it back home but strings in her chest pulled her towards the little pony.
She moved up next to her putting her hoof in between her and crowd,"My little one is everything ok?" Trying her best not to scare the small pony she pulled her hood down a bit more in attempt to keep this quick and clean.

It was no use she wasn't ever going to find her hat, almost giving up as she looked around the crowd. Glancing secretly at their hooves and heads. Not a single sign of it, you would think with this kind of shortness it would be easier to find! Mabye it was gone for good? She could only think that as she felt a hoof move her a little away from the crowd. Noticing the green color in memory as she looked up to see the pony she had bumped into earlier. Or...was it a pony? She wasn't sure their face was covered by a hood. More indication of suspicion as the mare pulled her hood down more. Though nothing sounded scary from her, it was a gentle warming tone. More curious than anything as she wondered why Cherry panicked so.
She didn't want to ask for help, but with a pony that size it was better to have someone who could see higher too. The only other mare and stallions she met this tall were either a bit annoying or not around. " ....My hats missing...its a blue stocking cap....have you seen it...? "

Zeila still had her hood down as she continues to try and hide her face a bit more as the small pony talked to her. She had to admit she sounded so timid and nervous as she told her about the missing cap,"Oh so you lost your hat in the crowd then?" Her ears twitched beneath the hood her thoughts going on about where the cap might be located but it was hard to tell with all these ponies around and even if she could find it among all these ponies it could be completely trampled. She would look around the crowd a little not getting any closer then she already was with the small pony her eye still fixed on the crowd in general scanning as much as she could see,"Little one I don't see your cap in al-" her words stopped as she notices one the ponies in the middle of the crowd holding what looked like a blue hat but Zeila couldn't be absolutely sure if this was the same hat.
"I think I found little though I can not be sure since I'm only catching glimpses of it in the crowd." She lowers her hood down again before turning to the small pony."If you want you can try and fly over the crowd and head for the center of it that is about where I saw the hat."
