Appearance
Height: 5'2'' in human dimensions
Body Type: Short, on the stockier, solid side; not fat or thin, but built strong
Mane Color: Light auburn with a cream streak and a pumpkin-colored streak.

Markings: Has cream stockings on her front right and read left legs, as well as patches of cream on her nose, rump, and ear tip.
Additional: None.
General Appearance: Pumpkin's colors are slightly more muted, giving her a softer more glowing appearance. The long, sleek curls of her red-brown mane drape down over her bright burning eyes unless other wise tied out of the way. Her tail, which twines in the same manner as her mane, is kept short and out of the way. She is short for her age, but built solidly. She carries herself gracefully, neither with her head hung in shame nor her nose turned up in pride. Her soft features are not particularly feminine looking, though because of her long mane and thick eyelashes she is only rarely mistaken for a colt.

Personality
Likes:Sweets, Coffee, The Ocean, Enjoying the quiet, Singing, Cooking,
Dislikes:Spicy food, Hot Weather, Rudeness, Liars, Laziness
Strengths: Hardworking, trustworthy, goodnatured, friendly, steadfast, independent
Weaknesses: Stubborn, shy, distrustful, short-tempered, proud
Fears: Her cafe burning down, going bankrupt and not being able to support herself
General Personality: Pumpkin learned from a young age that the only one who was going to take care of her was herself. Hardworking and independent, she built her little cafe from the ground up. When it comes to strangers, Pumpkin can be a bit shy and hesitant but she always puts on a friendly face for the world. She's pretty stubborn and when she gets her mind set on something, its hard to change it. She has a keen sense of right and wrong, and isn't the type to stand by while someone is being mistreated. Having worked hard to get where she is, she has a sense of pride about her work and is reluctant to ask anyone for help. While she easily gets along with most ponies, her independence and distrustfulness often make forming long lasting relationships difficult.
When it comes to her friends, Pumpkin is exceedingly loyal and protective. Once someone has earned her trust and respect she will move mountains for them. Her kindness extends to almost everyone she meets, save only those who are being cruel to others. She especially has a soft spot for animals an foals. She has a bit of a short temper, and it doesn't take much to irk her. However, its very hard to tell how she's feeling since her smile will never waver.

History
Father: Café Palazzo, 60, a strapping young entrepreneurial coffee farmer and brewer in his day, now retired and living outside of Canterlot.
Mother: Pumpkin Patch, 57, daughter of one of the largest pumpkin producers on the eastern side of Equestria, she grew up right outside this city, eloped with Palazzo against her father's wishes and the two are still happily married to this day
Siblings: None
Other: Owns a pet cat named Cream who she took in as a stray kitten and raised.
History: Pumpkin had a very nice, simply childhood. After her parents were married, they settled down in Pumpkin Patch's hometown and started their little family. After some trouble conceiving, finally little Pumpkin was born. Her parents adored their filly, and she was taken good care of. When she was a bit older her parents made sure that she understood how to take care of herself and that things wouldn't be handed to her when she grew up. As soon as she was old enough to work, her parents put her out on the fields of their little farm. She was paid a small wage for the work she did. and if she wanted something, she was responsible for paying for it. However, Pumpkin was not the type to frivolously spend her money and she saved every penny she was paid. Once she was old enough, she used the money she had saved to begin the construction of a little cafe downtown with a studio above it for her to live while she saves up for a modest cottage on the edge of town. While construction was going on, she worked odd jobs to pick up a little extra cash and even sang down at the Rusty Horshoe for tips. Upon completion of the cafe, she immediately got to work. As time passed, she gained more and more customers and has been able to make a modest living running it.
As a child, she loved to watch her parents work. Both earth ponies, the two had a knack for growing things out of the ground. Sadly, Pumpkin did not inherit this talent. Not one to be discouraged, she learned as much as she could about everything her parents did. One thing in particular that caught her attention were the recipes that had been passed down from both of her parents. She loved to play with them, and one particular day while experimenting, she whipped up a latte with a dash of pumkin flavoring an upon tasting it, finally knew her calling. That specific latte has been the special house drink in the cafe since the day it opened and happens to be one of Pumpkin's personal favourites to this day.
In school, Pumpkin didn't make very many friends. She wasn't an outcast, but she preferred to spend her free time cooking and helping her parents rather than fraternizing with her peers. Because of this, though she is well liked and respected in the community, she doesn't have particularly strong bonds with any of the other residents (this could be changed depending on whether or not anyone is interested in having backstory between their character and Pump).

Out Of Character
Name: Alley, Alleynurr (probably better know as Chiffonmod)
Roleplay Sample:
The sun had barely peeked over the horizon, but already Pumpkin was up and busily buzzing around her little living space. She stood in front of her bathroom mirror and dragged a brush through her uncooperative twisting locks. Once satisfied, she tied her mane back in a low bun to keep it out of her face. The morning air was cool as it wafted through her open window and there was the distinctive nibble of an autumn chill. The days would be getting cooler and shorter as her favourite time of year approached. She found herself humming softly, in good spirits this morning. After a bit of tidying up, she made her way downstairs into the little backroom kitchen of the cafe.
Now that the sun had finally made its way just above the treeline, there was plenty of warm natural light to see the humble little kitchen. Pumpkin wasted no time before getting to work baking the fresh treats that would feed hungry ponies for the rest of the day. As she worked, the sweet scent of cinnamon and sugar filled the entire cafe, making Pumpkin's mouth water. She couldn't resist sampling one of the coffeecake muffins that had just come out of the hot oven. Once the cooking was finished, she arranged the treats in the counter and set to brewing some fresh coffee. Soon the cafe would be filled with the pleasant hum of ponies stopping in for their breakfast or morning coffee on their way to work, but for now Pumpkin enjoyed the calming sounds of dripping coffee and the soft hum of the over.
