Fancy smiled at Dixie and nodded. "I actually have quite a few that I know can help you if you want to learn." Fancy led Dixie through the store to the history section, looking through and pulling out three books. "This first one is a general history book. Its actually the book mares and stallions study at Canterlot University. My mom teaches a course up them herself as a professor and high suggested I add it. This next one is a bit more in depth, focusing on not having a bias view on how things happened. Basically, it strives to really tell the facts of history, not the version told by the winners. This last one is more condensed, but it tells about all the major points in history. Its good for brushing up on your knowledge of major event." Fancy set the three books before Dixie with a smile. "So, do any of them sound like something you want?"

With that, Low Key set off towards the fantasy aisle. He was always a fan of that particular series, what with it's clever coupling of action, adventure, mystery, and romance all in one book. The characters were all well-written and the story was so full of twists and turns, Low Key felt he had to draw a chart at times.
Arriving in the aisle, he browsed through the authors. A few were familiar to him, as he had been into fantasy when he was younger. He finally finds the series as well as a few copies of the newest book. He picks it up in his magic and takes it over to the front desk. He counts out the bits and waits for Fancy to return.

Dixie looked at the books, judging one by one from the information he gave her and what the title said. She wanted to know as much as she needed but nothing too much, but it had to be interesting enough for her to read through. "The last one sounds good! And do you have any small bookmarks? I don't like to fold the pages" she said with a smile as she pointed at the last book he recommended and took a quick look around to see if there where any bookmarks visible in case she would just seem a bit wimsy.

Fancy nodded and put the first two books away, picking up the third. "I do have book marks on a rack of hooks up front. I have quite the collection, I'm sure you will find one you like!" Fancy led Dixie to the front, showing her all the bookmarks hanging there. They came in all sorts of colors and designs. It would be hard to not like any of them from the variety he had. "You just choose whatever you like and then I can take care of you at the front." With that done, Fancy went to his til to attend to Low Key. "Ah, you made your choice Low Key? That will be... twelve bits. You'll definitely enjoy the book."

The bits are already out on the counter. Low Key smiles to Fancy Flights, "Thank you, again! No bag for me, I'll see you next week!" He then turns around and walks out, carry the book out in his magic. There was nothing quite so great as a newly bought book with crisp pages, an unsullied cover, and most of all, that new book smell. Mmmm...he wanted it home and alone so bad right now.
There's nothing creepy about that, right?

Dixie stood there for a long time, or so it felt like. There where so many to choose from and she really had a hard time to decide. She sighed and finally picked, but couldn't pick on. Grabbing one with flowers on and another one with a rabbit on, she walked over to the counter with a pleased smile on her face. She was happy with her decision and very happy that she got the book she wanted. She liked this place and all it's books, she looked over her shoulder at the other lines of books with a smile. 'I will get back to this place, I'm sure of it' she said and walked to the front and put the stuff she wanted to buy on the counter eagerly.

Fancy smiled and looked over the books "Nice choice in bookmarks. I personally go for solid colors myself. One the same color as my coat. Even had my name put on it in dark red. You can have both for three bits together." Fancy paused, adding in the cost of the book. "All together, the total comes to fifteen since the book is twelve by itself. I hope you find the book nice! You know, besides my mom who teaches it, I don't see many ponies get history books. Of course students get them for classes, but they need to do that. History is a bit more interesting than they are given credit for. I find the age of enlightenment era an interesting area to read. Its pretty cool to find out more about how our culture became what it is today."

Dixie listened to what Fancy said with wide eyes, it sounded like he also was into history and found it fascinating. She smiled and nodded eagerly, even more exited to start reading it then ever. "Yeah, you're right. I like to learn about the past and imagine how my ancestors lived and who they where. It's fun to know what we have manage to make and do since then" she said and put the bits on the counters and taking the book and the bookmarks in a bag and off the counter. She was happy with her buy and would be more then delighted to return for another book sometimes. Both the store and Fancy Flight was so welcoming.

Fancy smiled as he took the bits, lacing them in the till before replying to her. "It is fun! Ponies nowadays just don't like to learn anymore. Once they get out of school, they completely drop books and only read when they have to." The blue pegasus tapped his head with his hoof. "If they used this instead of blundering through things solely with luck and brawn, we'd be better off. Anyway... I was thinking of making a book club that would meet regularly. Perhaps meeting to discuss a new book every month. Of course, I like to ask my customers if such a thing would interest them. Do you think that you would join the club if it was made?" Fancy loved the idea himself, but there would be no point if no one wanted to join the club and talk books with him.

Sugar had found precisely NONE of the books she was looking for, which is to say she was still devoid of her replacement.
Which sucked.
And she hadn't found anything that caught her mechanical mind either, and that was a little depressing as well. This book shop sucked. Well, maybe it didn't suck. It just... wasn't what she was looking for. That's all.
She hadn't realised yet she was in the literature section, not the magical theory section.
