--- 'You're soon there, you'll soon relax' said the motivating voice in Niaras head. She was walking towards her new location, seeing the houses just in front of her. She had been walking all day from before the sun came out and felt that she was in need for a rest. The cart with her tent and spices in started to feel heavier on her shoulders and back, but she still didn't know where the marketplace was. When she stepped onto the street, arriving in the city, she stopped. Looking around with a searching look, first trying to find a sign or the way to the marketplace at first. She eventually did and arrived there shortly after.
--- She finished the last things on her stand and put out the last spices she had before stepping behind it. She was pleased that she had gotten so quick at making everything ready and gave herself a small nod in approval and a slight smile. Everypony in the marketplace seemed so different from what she was used to, many of them where happier and it wasn't too crowded so it was a struggle to get things sold. She looked to the side to see who was beside her before letting out a sigh. It was nice to just stand there and observe the other ponies, they looked so different. Maybe because she was used to other colors, clothes and behaviors but it fascinated her. But she didn't have so much time to be fascinated as her first customer came up to her.

| After closing briefly for an hour's lunch, Shifting Sands was now on his way back to his cart. Normally he'd have chosen humble fare, but with sales had been profitable and he'd chosen to indulge on a meal out. He didn't regret it, either, though he had to keep reminding himself that it wouldn't become a habit. Most of his mind wandered, though as he entered the main marketplace area a small bit was striving for his attention. Coming back to the here-and-now, at first he wasn't really registering much more than surprise at what he saw.
| The cart, though larger and of different construction than his own, looked to be stocked with a variety of, well, familiars. He could catch the scent from here, images of home rising unbidden, and his hooves taking him on a detour from the path to his own stand. The thin pipe (currently empty and unlit) in his mouth shifted from one side to the other as he scanned the spice-monger's wares, still feeling a bit mystified to see things so familiar while he was yet far away from home. His attention had yet to rest on the stand's keeper, or he'd really get a surprise.

--- Niara had forgotten one small bag of her leftover special spice that she had in the back of her cart and quickly went to get it. She had mixed three different spices in a combination of spicy curry and some herbs. She was quite happy with it as she hadn't made anything herself with spices that weren't a spice in itself. She had been planning and mixing before but nothing had succeeded before now. It had been a hit in the previous towns but it was just a small bag of it left. Walking back to put the spice on place, she noticed a stallion standing there with a rather weird expression on his face as he looked at her stand. It looked like all of his attention was drawn to it like a fly to a shimmering light, she almost chuckled before putting the spice in place and smiling towards the bearded stallion. "Is there anything that strikes your attention?" she asked with a smile.

"Most everything," Shifting Sands replied, tearing his nose away from a small sample pack. He blinked and smiled at Niara, a note of recognition in his eye. "Aha! I knew it! No one around here appreciates the flavors of life quite like a Saddle Arabian. My meals have been sad without them."
| He dipped his head in a polite bow by way of greeting, introducing himself. "I am Shifting Sands, son of Golden Sickle of the Kurchi herd." By way of his speech--and especially his appearance--his people weren't too far distant from the Saddle Arabians. He most likely had some of that bloodline in him as well, judging by his larger build and distinct carriage. In addition to the pipe in his teeth, he also wore an ensemble of richly dyed linens, draped over his back and around his neck like robes. And, though he had no jewelry to speak of, three narrow braids draped over the side of his face opposite the forelock.

--- Niara was surprised by his reaction and smiled as he mentioned she recognized her a Saddle Arabian. Her cheeks got rosy and she chuckled, looking at the stallion as he spoke. As he introduced himself, she did notice that she had heard the name of his herd somewhere before and the way he dressed was almost similar to what she was used to back home. "A pleasure to meet you Shifting Sands, I'm Niara daughter of Richy Spice of Saddle Arabia" she said and returned a small bow as greeting. She smiled at him as she walked up in front of her stand next to him. She got a better view of her spices and also on him, she quickly realized that he was taller then average adult ponies from around here since she where almost as tall as one. "Well, no meal is complete without some high quality spice" she said to him and looked over her stand one more time before looking back at him, if he was interested it would be her first customer and she would be quite happy with that.

| Shifting Sands smiled and nodded, still mostly rooted as he surveyed the tent. It almost seemed he was a bit reluctant to fully explore the space, as if when he did, it might disappear.
"You seem like one who is familiar with the best seasonings of life," he commented as she moved to the side. He took a tenative step forward, examining some sealed bottles sitting in a display basket. "Do you have, perhaps, a personal baharat available, or a sebah baharat? I also seek, maybe a...." Closing his eyes and lifting his head, the stallion took a great whiff. Really there were so many scents in the air, it was almost impossible to distinguish them. Yet he was able to pick out a select few, old family dishes coming easily to mind. "...cardamom blend for my coffee?"

--- Niara was quite surprised when he stood there, asking for the spices he wanted. She mostly had costumers that asked what she would recommend for them, so someone who knew exactly what they wanted was just like she was used to at home. She smiled at him and walked back and fort from the stand, picking up the spices he had asked for. She put it in a small, brown bag with a green sign showing herb leafs. "Here you go, I just got fresh cardamom yesterday" She said and bent over to the stand again then back. "I have some turmeric from the east and epazote spice in a package with Saddle Arabian cinnamon for half price if you're interested? The turmeric is quite rare and is a bit spicy" she said and put the bag in front of him while showing him the three other spices.

Coming down the path that lead in the woods a familiar hooded figure would make her way back into to town with her bags full of local herbs and a few spring river vials. She doesn't really like to walk through town when everyone is hustling and bustling but she was in the forest longer then she expected. She cut through the main street market to make her way back home though as she made her way past some of the vendors making sure her head was down enough that no one would see her face though that did make it a bit more difficult to see where she was going.
Almost on que she would bump head first into the large stallion standing in front of a cart though she would only find this out by stumbling a little into the cart bracing against it as she tries to get back on her feet,"Oh i'm so sorry I didn't mean to bump into you."

--- Niara jumped back as the mare came out of nowhere and bumped into Shifting and her stand, making some of the spices that was put at the front fall down and most of it being poured at the ground. She gasped and quickly duck down and tried to get it up and to see if any of the spices wasn't all empty. She looked up at the mare and Shifting for a moment while trying to shove the spices that hit the ground together. "Are you okay?" she asked them while making sure there wasn't anything they could step into.

She catches herself a little against the cart slowly getting back on her feet as she starts to hear a heavily accent voice speak up next to her,"Oh I am fine just wasn't watching-" She looked down to see a mare gathering up herbs and spices on the ground around her and the cart, then looking over at the cart to notice the half empty containers sitting on the front end of the cart quickly she realizes what had happened. "Oh i'm so sorry here let me help you with those." She keeps her head down a bit making sure to keep her face hidden and begins to levitate some of the herbs scattered around her that hadn't been picked up yet. She slowly brought them towards her and the cart,"I was in such a rush to get back home that I had bumped into your cart and someone else I didn't mean to make such a mess."

--- Niara got up again and gathered the ones that had fallen and put them behind the stand to clean them up so she could put them back up. She then turned to the mysterious mare, she gave her a calm smile. "No worries, I don't think anyone got hurt" she said and looked at Shifting and then at her. She tried to see if she would see her face, but it was hidden under her coat and she didn't want to be rude and ask her to look up. So she let it be and sighed, looking at the stallion. "Are you okay?" she asked, she brushed some dust off her own scarf before looking at the two. "So why are you in such a hurry?" she asked and smiled.

Zeila noticed the foreign mare trying to see under her hood but soon stopped and went back to getting the spies and herbs that were knocked onto the ground. She continues to pick up the spices on the ground with the mare before hearing her questions,"Oh yes I am fine just...trying to get home." She says with bits of fear and tension laced in the sentence before giving a half-hearted chuckle and looking around occasionally seeing if anyone else was around besides the three of them.
