Race: Pegasus
Appearance
Height:
Body Type: Just slightly under average in terms of muscle build, Fancy has more practice reading than exercising. Some might even go as far as to say he is a bit small compared to other stallions. His face is actually call a foal face despite being a fully grown stallion.
Mane Color: Light blue
Eye Color: Grey
Coat color: Sky Blue
Markings: None
Additional: He doesn’t have much hair on his head and his tail is cut to be only a few inches long. More manageable overall.
General Appearance: Fancy Flights is more the lanky type of pony, not too much weight to him. Skinny legs, thin body, little muscles, and all the rest that comes to a pegasus who grows up with their head in books rather than the clouds. Sure, his wings are used enough to where they developed nicely, but they are far from being the best wings out there. Rather than try to look all fancy, he uses a relaxed method. Nothing too high maintenance for him when it comes to looks. He pretty much goes for simplicity and comfort over fashion in everyday life.

Personality
Likes: Fancy loves nothing more than to get into a great book or discuss his favorite books with fellow fans. He can get a bit excited. Other than that, Fancy actually enjoys cooking no matter how bad he is at making more complicated dishes.
Dislikes: Fancy quite dislikes loud noises and its a sure fire way to startle him. Also he hates hot days that just make you sweat standing still.
Strengths: Mentally, Fancy is quite intelligent and creative. He can come up with decent stories on the spot and entertaining ones if given longer. He is a thinker.
Weaknesses: Physically, Fancy is a little lacking. Though not completely useless, most would be better suited to strength based jobs than he.
Fears: Failure is a little fear of his. In the back of his mind, Fancy always fears of that one big screw up. The one that ruins his life and those lives around them
General Personality: Fancy is a nice kind of stallion, enjoying just talking to others. He tries to come across as friendly by being polite to all those he meets. Though he is pretty smart, he never thinks himself better than others. In fact, due to his weaker body, Fancy believes that everypony has more to offer the world than him. He isn’t a bragger simply because he believes that a simple book lover like himself has nothing to brag about. All he wishes for is that he can be included in activities with his circle of friends. He rarely says no when any friends invite him to do something with them unless he cannot.
Due to his interests and weak physique most due see him as the nerdy type and he does half act the part. Once you get him talking about a book series, he shows his real passion on the subject. He may even not realize that his deep and involved talking is wearing a bit thin due to his enthusiasm. To be honest, unless he is with someone he likes, Fancy is a bit introverted. Sure, once you get to know him, he opens up like a book. However, he isn’t the aggressive type usually. When it comes to romance or crushes, Fancy is quite clueless. He wouldn’t recognize a sign from a mare unless it was spelled out for him in bright flashing lights. So he has never actually gone on any dates or had anything more than a friend.

History
Father: Celsius, a pegasus, works as a temperature optimizer. In essence his job is to help coordinate the pegasus in his area so that their efforts in making weather produce the right amount of heat and cold.
Mother: Enigma, a unicorn, is actually a history professor at the Canterlot University. She teaches several courses on Equestria’s past and sometimes looks into facts for the close by museum.
Siblings: None
Other: None
History: Fancy’s parents met back when they were in high school and his mother was actually one of the unpopular fillies while his father was sorta popular on track team. They were casual acquaintances at first and became friends with Enigma nursing a secret crush. When some of the popular ponies discovered this crush, they tricked her into thinking that Celsius was asking her to meet him for dinner which she excitedly went to. What was waiting were the cruel ponies and buckets of paint they threw over her. Heartbroken, she had stayed away from school for a week. Celsius did find out a couple days after the incident and tried to beat the ones who did it up… whom outnumbered him and returned the favor. In the end, a teacher found out what happened and they got in trouble. When Enigma went to visit him in the hospital because of a broken wing, the truth came out. Rather flattered, they decided to date from then on. It was after four years of dating that Fancy was concieve, a happy surprise in their book.
Fancy never actually went to official flight school and instead learned as he grew up with his dad. However, Fancy preferred to spend time with his mother and books. From a young age, he loved the thought of far off places and fantastic adventures! He was always asking for his mother to read more stories when she wasn’t busy toward becoming a teacher. He learned quickly how to read just so he could keep reading whenever he wanted. In school, he was always at an advanced reading level. He wasn’t exactly popular, but Fancy wasn’t hated either. He had a small bit of friends and was happy with that.
It was around halfway through school that Fancy got his cutie mark. The class had an assignment to make a short story and read it out to the class. Fancy had been quite excited and worked very hard on his own story. When his day came up though, he lost the pages of his story. He had nothing coming in. So, like any student without their homework, he had to improvise. Coming up without a written out story, Fancy began telling a story he made up on the spot. Whatever he thought, Fancy just said it. Surprisingly, he held the interest of his fellow students. His simple mystery story kept them guessing until the criminal was revealed and the case solved. The teacher was impressed and gave Fancy a great grade. It was somewhere in the midst of the story telling that the mark appeared on his flank. An open book with a quill scratching out the words in it. It was then Fancy knew his talent was story telling.
Fancy never had aspirations to go to college. He only wanted two things. To become an author and to be surrounded by books. Though Fancy’s parents couldn’t help with the first thing, they had given him the money they saved for him to do what he wanted with. Wanting to have his own place be with the books her loved, Fancy moved to a small city between Fillydelphia and Baltimare. He found a place for sale and set up plans for a book store. using the funds his parents had given him, Fancy soon opened his store and started business. No matter how good business is, Fancy Flights is enjoying his life.

Out Of Character
Name: Crytic
Roleplay Sample: It was another beautiful morning in the city. The sun was just shining past the streets and buildings, shining upon the mares and stallions heading off to work. Life kept chugging along and everyone had to follow its pace. The city was like a big body and the ponies in it were like the lifeblood driving it through the daily routine. You either kept up or fell behind. It took some getting used to when you moved to the city, but it would soon become second nature to follow the pulse.
Fancy Flights had found it a little difficult to adjust at first, but he did learn after a little while how to go about business. Wearing a saddle pack holding some bits, a thick book, and his lunch for the day, Fancy was weaving through the crowd without even bumping into anypony. It wasn’t that long of a trot to his job, running his book store. Pulling out his key, Fancy unlocked the door and headed in. On the way past the door, he switched the Closed sign to flip over to Open. Fancy went over to the front desk and sat behind it before setting down his bag digging out the book he had brought. Today’s book was a thrilling adventure of a dashing rogue trying to save his mare from nastiest gang to ever enter the Badlands. Fancy liked to read while no customers were around.
