Spirit Weaver was doing stuff. Stupid stuff. But, what else was new? Middle of town, center of the Market, about to make a colossal idiot of herself. Again. Standing upon a small wooden box that was already there don't question it, Spirit raised her voice, "Attention all you market-goers! I, Spirit Weaver, expert adventurer have recently found out that there is a near completely unexplored cave system within the forest! If any of you wish to go on the ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME come and talk to me! I'm accepting applicants!"
"Err... sign the waiver, too!"
And with that, she stepped off the box and sat down, rubbing at her still rather aching legs, waiting for nopony to sign up, as was per usual. Would going into another adventure alone, and slightly injured a good idea?
No, it was not. Was she probably going to end up doing it anyways?
Probably.

Saline walks about, generally just trying to think and get away from it all. He's been lucky enough to get an extended break from his work, which has become arduous AND repetitive. He sighs, is there anything to quell his boredo-
He looks over to the stand. Adventuring? Why, he never adventured before! He could see himself being helpful, maybe even the muscle or supporter of a great adventuring squad! …In a few years. He does notice her quip on signing the waiver. Would he want to risk his life?
Answer: Tartarus yes. Anything to get away from Low, this town, his job, his living conditions, EVERYTHING! ...He will have to probably send two checks to his father early, though. He trots over, "I am interested in your adventuring company! Is there any more room in your party for me?"

Spirit was preparing to stand up and start leaving on her own way to the Caves. But... A voice! A voice talking to her! About the Adventure! With a grin, she turned to the newcomer and smiled, "Not quite a company, sir, unless you mean by just being in my company. This is a one-off adventure, my friend!"
Unconsciously, she was trying to place the face of this zebra. It took a bit before she figured it out. Saline Base. The one that saved her life a year or so back. They hadn't written to eachother in a month or so, though. Was it because he came here, too? Best not to mention names, yet, in case he didn't remember her, of course.
"Just sign the waiver, that basically says if you die it's not my fault," she claimed, passing him a quill and a clipboard with a form on it, "I think I'll wait around for another few minutes, though. Umm... Go and wait for me on the trail to the forest alright?"
Before Saline could toss an answer her way, she stood again, and shouted, "LAST CALL FOR THE CAVERN EXPEDITION!"

Saline's eyes met hers, and he recognizes her. All the letters they wrote weekly, those crazy pictures of her in front of destroyed lairs of evil, everything! He was standing before the great Spirit Weaver! He looks down to the waiver, and nods quickly before writing his signature. Thankfully he knew how to write Equuish, so no odd sigils she (or Private Investigators) had to decrypt. He does think a bit, should he break the ice...?
"I am honored to see the great 'necro-buster,' something that I most likely couldn't muster!" He says, extending a hoof, though it shakes a little, "Sorry for not writing, Spirit, it was bad to leave you in the dark, I admit!"

So, this was indeed Saline. She was fairly certain, but the fact that he dropped her name was enough to solidify it in her mind that this was the Zebra she had known for a year or so, though writings. Shaking his hoof, she smiled, "It's a pleasure to see you again, Saline! Sorry I never really wrote, either. Since I came her a month of so ago, life his gotten pretty hectic."
She looked left and right, "Abd it looks like you're the only one deciding to come with me, risking life, limb, and sanity to delve into unknown territory! So, are you ready for the ride of your life?"

--- Niara and Low had decided to take the day off with work and business to relax after some heavy days, they where about to return back when suddenly they heard a voice calling out. "An adventure?" she asked and though for a moment. It sounded fun, she knew Low weren't the adventures type but she didn't care. "Let's go!" she said and pushed him gently to have him follow her. She had always wished to go for a great adventure, now was the chance. She was suspicious at first since she was unsure if the mare was serious or not. Walking up to them, she smiled at them and didn't really notice Saline standing beside them. "Can we join you?"
(I hope I'm making some drama now ;3 muhahaha! Sorry it's a bit short)

Midnight was at the trail to the forest, she had heard about a mare yelling in the marketplace about an adventure and wanted to surprise her. She patiently waited for the other and see if anypony was foolish enough to come along for the adventure. She had nothing else to do anyways and a day or so ago she met up with Key at his apartment for a very...tense thing of words. Though she still feels she was gonna win the chess game and grumbled some sitting on the ground now. She had her saddlebag with her as she looked up at the sky "Nice out."

Spirit was about to tell Saline that it was time for them to head out. After all, it did originally seem like nopony was wanting to do something quite that stupid. Or... welll... maybe that stupid. Spirit hadn't done anything to this cave they were about to enter other than poke her head in, and make sure it wasn't a dead end. Oh, that could have been a wonderful surprise, causing such a ruckus to gather a group, only to have it disbanded in a few minutes.
But, then, there was a voice. A voice she hadn't heard before. With a smile, she whirled about, and faced the pony speaking. She didn't recognize the mare, but the stallion with her was most certainly one that she knew. Made things quite a bit easier, actually, "Oh, there's always room for more! The greater the group, the greater the entertainment!"
"Would you mind signing these waivers?"
//Oh, and juusst for information, this happened after the incident in the bar, but before she was put in jail for retaliating for that night. Still trying to build a timeline for how all this happened.

Saline laughs, not noticing the fast approaching Saddle Arabian. "I am ready for this adventure, I'll be ready to travel to the obscure." He sat beside Spirit, noticing her new scars and past wounds, quite an adventure she's had! He can imagine what they might encounter in a cave, mostly just…bears and bats. Maybe even a batpony gone feral if they're unlucky. He notices Niara from this angle, his eyes widen. Why. Why come here when this adventure was meant to ESCAPE them?
He sighs softly, this was gonna be a long day, and a longer story he'll have to explain to Spirit.

Since yesterday, Low decided to make it up Niara by taking her shopping. He had a limited budget as it was, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be anything interesting to either of them. Just as he was about to let out another sigh that heavily suggested "This stallion was done shopping several hours ago", he heard a familiar voice yelling throughout the market. As he turned to look, he saw her.
Spirit.
He cocked his eyebrow at her display. She may have some luck here; with how boring this town is, he was sure that a few ponies would want to go adventuring. Then again, he didn't know that many ponies who wouldn't have to be drunk to go adventuring with Spirit. He was about to turn back to Niara and beg her to take him home for the third time when he suddenly felt her tugging him in the direction of Spirit.
Low had had enough of this and desperately tried voicing his opinions, "Wait! Niara! This is a terrible idea! Do you enjoy getting hurt? I surely d-". That was when he noticed Saline there as well.
He changed his mind. This wasn't going to be a terrible idea after all.
His entire day was about to get FUBAR'd.
Trying not to look him in the eye, Low accepts the waiver and reads over it. Oh yeah, you can tell bad things are going to happen when the waiver states that the guide is not responsible for any scrapes, cuts, bruises, avulsions, burns, impalements, dismemberments, or deaths that may occur.
As Low signed his name to the waiver, the full weight of what he was about to do hit him: He was walking up to the gates of Tartarus accompanied by his fillyfriend, his estranged ex, and a 19-year-old filly with issues on accepting rationality.
This was how he was going to die.

The tension in the air could have been cut with a knife, it was so thick. Clearly, Low had a history with Saline. Which just meant that this adventure got very, very awkward. Maybe Spirit could alter the flow of things, though. Get those two 'separated' from the group. Have them talk out their issues. Granted, Spirit would always know exactly where they were. She could probably pass a shadow tag onto them, right? Yeah, she could.
Wow, who would have think that so quickly, Spirit would have turned from adventurer leader into behind the scenes counselor? A whole lotta nopony, that's who.
And, as such, before Saline or Low could back out, she spoke up, "Alright, then! If everyone is ready, let's go!" She claimed, leading the ragtag group out if the town, headed for the forest, where she decided to go through another debrief.
"So, in case you don't know what's happening, I have recently found a rather unexplored cave out in the woods! And, as such, I need to explore it! And now, so must all of you!"
"We shouldn't e gone for more than 24 hours, but I still have enough food and water to keep a group larger than ours alive for more than 48 hours."
"On the expedition, I'll be the guide. Any spoils or the like that we find will be split equally among all of us in the group! So, any questions?"

Saline, quite frankly, ignored the fact Low was there. He was not going to let pitiful emotion nor pitiful ponies from him enjoying this. If it was so much, he'd ignore the very existence of Low, or at least say there is no problem.
Saline nods to Spirit, "Do we have a prepared light source for this journey? I don't want this to end in one of us in a gurney." He says, though he knew he'd care slightly less if Little Miss Perfect Niara or Low got a few bruises.

As Low walked along with the group, he had only one question: why? Knowing better, he kept it to himself. Silently, he made a mental note that if he and Niara made it out of this alive, the two of them were going to have a serious talk about trust.
He also had some serious hopes that they wouldn't be spending the night in the woods, let alone a dark, creepy, unexplored cave that was probably crawling with rodents and arachnids of extraordinary size. What ever happened to dying of old age?
Either way, matters would most definitely get complicated by Saline. Why couldn't that zebra just move on? Just what would Low have to do to give him some closure? Say he was sorry another thousand times? Dump Niara and marry him? Give him some tail? Die slowly and painfully? Probably that last one.
At least Niara was having fun. Maybe.

As they came close to the forest entrance Midnight stood up and used her magic to poof up to Spirit. Being behind her she threw her arms around her neck from behind "Hey there Spirit I thought you wasnt gonna show up." she grinned before looking at the group she managed to get "Low?" she said looking over at him, well this was gonna be interesting especially with how they left each. Looking at the mare she blinked was this Niara? She was rather lovely little mare...then there was a zebra as well? However she could feel the tension in the air and her eyes looked at Key

"Of course I've got a light, Saline," Spirit claimed, rolling her eyes. She didn't mean for that to sound sassy in any way at all, but it... just kinda happened. I mean.... what kind of Adventurer wouldn't carry a light? "I've got light, food, wat- SUFFER AND BURN!" She screamed the last, ducking out of Middie's grip and tossing out a spell card, which began to rotate above her head in a flaming ring.
"O-Oh... it's just you," Spirit said, letting the thing fade into nonexistence, once more, "Don't do that, Midnight. I almost fried you like an egg..."
